From March 1 to June 30, 2025, a revolutionary shift occurred at Maris Stella College, Vijayawada. Fifty ambitious students from the Department of Agriculture & Rural Development took a giant leap from academic learning to enterprise creation. In collaboration with SK Associates & Group (SK A&G), these students didn’t just attend a training—they built real, fundable startups. The goal? Nation-building through grassroots entrepreneurship.

Legal Startup Formation & Business Model Innovation

Under expert mentorship, these student entrepreneurs achieved legal MSME registration—a significant step many aspiring founders never complete. Each team was guided to develop scalable, sustainable, and fundable business models tailored to solve real problems in agriculture and rural livelihoods. This wasn't just a simulation; it was real-time venture building.

Unlocking ₹250 Crores in Potential Funding               

What set this bootcamp apart was the focus on access to capital. Participants learned how to leverage premier government schemes like PMMY, SISFS, and CGTMSE to unlock up to ₹5 Crores per venture. From ideation to pitch decks, the 4-month program turned classroom learners into potential founders, fully equipped to raise funding and run a business.

The bootcamp was driven by visionary leadership: Sr. (Dr) Jasintha Quadras (Principal), Mr. P. Shravan Kumar (Tier 1 Startup Consultant & CEO, SK A&G), Dr. Lakshmana Swamy (HoD, Dept. of Agriculture & Rural Development), and Prof. Jasmipriya K. (Professor of Agricultural Economics). Their shared vision of transforming rural education into enterprise creation shaped the entire program.

The success of this pilot cohort has inspired the launch of the next batch—500 more students from multiple departments will begin their startup journey from September 1, 2025.
