Introduction to Everest Fleet
In India's fast-changing mobility ecosystem, where ride-hailing means daily commute for millions, fleet management has been the backbone of city transportation. Everest Fleet, established in 2016 by a pioneering group of nine entrepreneurs, is now India's largest professionally managed fleet provider, redefining the way we approach asset utilization and empowerment of drivers in the shared mobility space.
What began as a fix to fill gaps in the taxi aggregation space has evolved into a mobility giant controlling more than 18,500 vehicles in seven key Indian cities. Backed by Uber as its strategic investor and partner, Everest Fleet has demonstrated that professionalization and systematic efficiency can turn a traditionally unorganized industry into an organized business.

The Challenges of Everest Fleet
In India's large cities, ride-hailing apps are an everyday lifeline — taking workers to offices, airports, and points in between. Behind the scenes, one quiet actor makes this system run so well: the fleet operators who buy, maintain, and provide cars and drivers in quantity.
Everest Fleet was launched by Sumeet Somani in 2016 to introduce reliability and professionalism into this all-important segment. While old cars, spotty maintenance, and sky-high driver flip were common challenges for many operators, Everest Fleet created a model on well-maintained cabs and content drivers — the two components of highest-rated rides.
Strategic Growth
From only a few cabs in Mumbai, Everest invested in new cars, periodic maintenance, and fast fleet renewal. They established a driver-centric culture: reasonable rentals, insurance, and 24x7 assistance so drivers could earn consistently stress-free.
Their word got around fast, and they became the first choice fleet partner of MNC giants Uber and Ola in Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Kolkata.
Financial Performance
Everest Fleet operates more than 10,000 cars today — making it among India's largest and fastest-growing fleet operators. Their cabs drive more than 10 million km a day, ferrying thousands of commuters while maintaining strict service and safety standards.
In FY23, Everest Fleet earned ₹326.78 crore in revenue, with steady profitability and strong support from investors such as Uber and Paragon Partners. Their latest initiative? Turning green. Everest is quickly adding CNG and electric vehicles to lower its carbon footprint without keeping running expenses high for drivers.
Not only cars on the roads, Everest Fleet represents a greater promise: a just, sustainable living for thousands of drivers and safe, reliable rides for millions of Indians — each and every day.
